"Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave"
رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا
“If Allah wants to favor someone, He grants him comprehension (understanding) of this religion.”

“It is only those who have knowledge amongst His slaves that fear Allah.”
[Soorah Al-Fatir (35): 28]
“Seek knowledge, because seeking it for the sake of Allah is a worship. And knowing it makes you more God-fearing; and searching for it is jihad, teaching it to those who do not know is charity, reviewing and learning it more is like tasbeeh. Through knowledge Allah will be known and worshipped. With the knowledge Allah will elevate people and make them leaders and imams, who will in turn guide other people.”

“Whoever treads on a path in search of Islamic knowledge, Allah will ease the way to Paradise for him. The angels will lower their wings, pleased with this seeker of knowledge, and everyone in the heavens and on earth will ask forgiveness for the knowledgeable person, even the fish in the deepest of waters will ask for his forgiveness”
[Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi # 2835-sahih hadith]
“He whom death overtakes while he is engaged in acquiring knowledge with a view to reviving Islam with the help of it, there will be one degree between him and the Prophets in Paradise .”
[Al-Tirmidhi Hadith no. 249. Narrated by Al-Hasan al-Basri]

Sayyidul Istaghfar - the greatest form of seeking forgiveness
Hadith
On the authority of Shaddad ibn Aws, may Allah be pleased with him,
the Prophet, Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said,
"The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is:
"Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa,
anta khalaqtani wa ana abduka,
wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu,
A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu,
abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya,
wa Abu'u bidhanbi faghfirli
innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta."
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam) added.
"If
somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on
the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise;
and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it,
and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."
{ Al-Bukhari }
834. அபூ பக்ர்(ரலி) அறிவித்தார்.
என்னுடைய தொழுகையில் நான் கேட்பதற்கு ஒர துஆவை எனக்குக் கற்றுத் தாருங்கள் என்று நபி(ஸல்) அவர்களிடம் நான் கேட்டபோது 'இறைவா! எனக்கு நான் பெருமளவு அநீதி இழைத்து விட்டேன். உன்னைத் தவிர பாவங்களை எவரும் மன்னிக்க முடியாது. எனவே மன்னிப்பு வழங்குவாயாக! மேலும் எனக்கு அருள் புரிவாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ மன்னிப்பவனும் அருள் புரிபவனுமாவாய் என்று சொல்வீராக' என்று இறைத்தூதர்(ஸல்) அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.
