What are the Best Deeds?

A bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam): “What are the best deeds in the eyes of Allah?” The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied: “Gentle manners, modesty and patience.” [Related by Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal]

Three small words… gentle manners, modesty, patience… but a world of forbearance!
