The history and building of Makkah is directly connected to Prophet Ibraaheem as he was the first person to settle his family in it when he left his wife Haajar and his son Ismaa’eel there in compliance with the command of Allaah for him to do so.
Imaam Al-Bukhaari reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbaas in the long narration in which the Prophet informed us that Ibraaheem once came with his wife Haajar and his son Ismaa’eel
who was still a suckling infant, from ancient Syria to Makkah. At that
time, Makkah had no water and nobody residing in it. Ibraaheem
took them both under the shade of a tree and left with them a bag of
dates and a flask of water, then headed back to ancient Syria. As he was
leaving, his wife Haajar called to him, saying: “Where are you going?
How can you leave us in this deserted valley that has neither humans nor
anything else (in terms of life)?” She repeated this a few times but he
did not reply, so she asked: “Did Allaah command you to do this?”
Ibraaheem replied: “Yes” Thereupon she said: “Then He shall never forsake us”.
Ibraaheem
walked for a while and then stood upon a small hill, raised his hands
in supplication, and said, as Allaah informs us saying (what means): “Our
Lord! I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley
near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So
make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them
from the fruits that they might be grateful.” [Quran 14:37]
Allaah blessed Haajar and her son with
the well of Zamzam, and then people came from all directions and resided
in Makkah. The first tribe to reside there was the tribe of Jurhum
among whom Ismaa’eel grew up and from whom he married.
Ibraaheem
came many times to Makkah to check upon their condition, and later
Allaah commanded him to build the Ka’bah; Allaah says (what means): “And
[mention] when Ibraaheem (Abraham) was raising the foundations of the
House and [with him] Ismaa’eel (Ishmael), [saying]: 'Our Lord! Accept
[this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.'” [Quran 2:127]
Allaah also says (what means): “And
[O Muhammad], when We designated for Ibraaheem (Abraham) the site of
the House, [saying] “Do not associate anything with Me and purify My
House for those who perform Tawaaf (circumambulation of the Ka’bah) and
those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.” [Quran 22:26]

Happiness is the only goal on earth that all people without exception
are seeking to attain. Believers and unbelievers alike seek to be
happy, but each party is using different methods.
However, only
believers can achieve genuine happiness. All forms of happiness
attained without a firm belief in God, the Almighty, are mere illusions.
The following are tips for the attainment of happiness:
1.
Know that if you do not live within the scope of today, your
thoughts will be scattered, your affairs will become confused, and your
anxiety will increase. These realities are explained in the following
hadith:
"When you are in the evening, do not expect to see
themorning, and when you are in the morning, do not expect to see the
evening." (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)
2. Forget the past and all that it contained, focus on the present.
3.
Do not completely preoccupy yourself with the future and then
discard the present. Be balanced in life, prepare yourself adequately
for all situations.
4. Do not be shaken by criticism; instead,
be firm. Be sure that in proportion to your worth, the level of
people's criticism rises. Also, make good use of criticism in
discovering your shortcomings and faults, and let it drive you toward
self-improvement.
5. Have complete faith in God and perform good deeds; these are the ingredients that makeup a good and happy life.
6. If you desire peace, tranquility, and comfort, you can find it all in the remembrance of God.
7. You should know with certainty that everything that happens, occurs in accordance with the divine decree.
8. Do not expect gratitude from anyone.
9. Train yourself to be prepared for the worst possibility.
10. Perhaps what has happened is in your best interest, even though you may not comprehend how that can be so.
11. Everything that is decreed for the believer is the best for him.
12. Enumerate the blessings of God and be thankful for them.
13. Remember that you are better off than many others.
14. Relief comes from one hour to the next. Indeed, with each difficulty there is relief.
15. In both times of hardship and ease, one should turn to supplication and prayer, either patiently contented or thankful.
16. Calamities should strengthen your heart and reshape your outlook in a positive way.
17. Do not let trivialities be the cause of your destruction.
18. Always remember that your God is Oft-Forgiving.
19. Assume an easy-going attitude and avoid anger.
20. Life is bread, water, and shade; so do not be perturbed by a lack of any other material thing.
"And in the heaven is your providence and that which you are promised." (Quran 51:22)
21. A daunting evil that seemingly will happen usually never occurs.
22. Look at those who have more afflictions and be grateful that you have less.
23. Bear in mind the fact that God loves those who endure trials with steadfastness, so seek to be one of them.
24.
Constantly repeat those supplications that the Prophet, may the mercy
and blessings of God be upon him, taught us to say during times of
hardship.
25. Work hard at something that is productive, and cast off idleness.
26. Do not spread rumors and do not listen to them. If you hear a rumor inadvertently, do not believe it.
27.
Know that your malice and your striving to seek revenge are much more
harmful to your health than they are to your antagonist.
28. The hardships that befall you atone for your sins, if you endure with patience.
Wonderful & emotional nasheed with the incomparable voice of Mishary Bin Rashid Al Afasy, with beautiful lirycs, dedicated to all muslim mothers :) Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: A person came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Who among the people is most deserving my companionship (of a kind treatment from me?) He said: Your mother. He, again, said: Then who (is the next one)? He said: It is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said: Then who (is the next one)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: It is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon he (The Prophet (peace be upon him)) said: It is your father.
Why do women cry? Some good hints to understand inside world of woman. well...just nice words about woman and her creation.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the beauty of her
face, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen
in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart – the place where
love resides.
Sheikh Bilal Ismail educates us about some history and benefits of the 1st sacred month in the Muslim calender - Muharram.
He also discusses the most virtuous day in this month - the day of Ashura.
Muharram Ashura the 10th of day Muharram
Significance of Ashura
Rasul Allah used to fast on the day of Ashura even after fasting in Ramadan was made obligatory.Ibn 'Abbas reported
When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) fasted on the day
of 'Ashura and commanded that it should he observed as a fast, they (his
Companions) said to him: Messenger of Allah, it is a day which the Jews
and Christians hold in high esteem. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah
(may peace be upon him) said: When the next year comes, God willing, we
would observe fast on the 9th But the Messenger of Allah (may peace be
upon him) died before the advent of the next year.
[ Musim : Book 006, Hadith Number 2528]
Abdullah ibn Abbas also reported
Abdullah
b 'Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)
had said: If I live till the next (year), I would definitely observe
fast on the 9th, and the narration transmitted by Abu Bakr is: "He meant
the day of Ashura." [ Muslim: Book 006, Hadith Number 252]

Beetroot is a good tonic food for health. It contains carbohydrates, mainly in the form of sugar, and it has a little protein and fat. The beet juice is considered as one of the best vegetable juice. It is a rich source of natural sugar. It contains sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sulphur, chlorine, iodine, iron, copper, vitamin B1, B2, C and P. This juice is rich in easily digestible carbohydrates, but the calorie content is low. The protein factors and amino acids are good in both quality and quantity.
Dals or lentils (pulses/dried split peas/legumes), when consumed daily, provide most of the protein that vegetarians need, along with iron. Lentils are also high in fiber and low in fat.

To a website I don't know
Looked like googlebuzz at first sight,
But my friend said that's a no.
Why did we need, another social network?
Doesn't Facebook work alright?
A new thing for me to learn
This could take all night, Look out!
What is this google +
I don't Need google +
There's another +1 and another +1
What is this google +
Hey, Why's this red thing here?
Go away google +
You want me to put my friends in circles
But circles are for squares
Everday's like Sophie's choice
Trying to choose which friend goes where
But No Parents, or Ex-boyfriends...
Can get in without invites
And when I drunkenly post that he's cute
I can edit it later that night - whoa
I kinda like google +
Can't believe I'm on google +
Oh another hangout, and another hang out
I dig my google +
Hey, old high school friend
You can't join my google +
Friends add me, without me adding them
That feature's really nice
Randos
Uglies

and all these friend's I've never liked
No one knows, my circle names,
So even good friend's get handpicked
Do you make it into my main feed
or do I add you to my circle of pricks
I'm in love with google plus
I'm judgemental on goggle +
and Another douchebag and another loser
You didn't make my google plus
Hey, Now I'm a facist pig

Doha, the capital city of Qatar. Although Qatar was populated as early as 4,000 BCE, Doha is a thoroughly modern city, filled with skyscrapers and an eclectic mix of contemporary architecture, right on the Persian Gulf. Since Qatar's building boom began in earnest in 2004, the population has doubled, and Doha is now a cultural hub for the region, hosting the Doha Tribeca Film Festival and world-class museums, such as the Museum of Islamic Art.

Kerala. Being built on the outskirts of Kozhikode, the mosque will have
a built-up area of 250,000 sq. ft., far out-sizing the 17th century

Kozhikode , so far known only for its exotic spices, which is home to a
large number of NRI's working in the UAE, the Emirates 24|7 reported.
The Mubarak Masjid will have a built-up area of 250,000 square feet
and would house up to 30,000 worshippers, at a time. The mosque alone
would cost Rs 400 million (Dh 33.3 million)
It will also have a library for Islamic research and a conference
hall where both Muslims and non-Muslims can come in pursuits of
knowledge.
The green complex would be surrounded by Moghul-style garden and landscaping.
The mosque complex will also have a professional engineering and
medical college, a multidisciplinary hospital and healthcare city, a
shopping mall, hotels and convention centre, as part of the knowledge

Methods for how to get rid of mouth ulcers depend on the severity
and type of the existing ulcers. The most common kinds of these ulcers
include cold sores on the skin close to the lips and internal canker
blisters on the sensitive inner lining of the mouth. Both of these sores
can be quite painful and uncomfortable, but most of them can be treated
successfully with some home remedies or with topical medicines
available in most drug stores.
Cankers inside the mouth
typically result from a variety of conditions such as an allergic
reaction to certain bacteria in the mouth, an overactive immune system
that attacks healthy cells by accident, or minor injuries from
inadvertently biting the soft tissue inside the mouth. Some people are
more prone to canker blisters than others, and a few can get them for no
apparent reason at all. Most canker blisters are relatively small,
although others can grow to more than one centimeter in diameter and can
be excessively painful.
Eliminating a canker blister quickly
often involves keeping it as clean as possible to prevent harmful
bacteria from invading the injured tissue. One of the first steps that
physicians recommend is to rinse the mouth several times a day with warm
salt water. This step should ideally be done as soon as possible after
each meal or snack; the salt carries away food residue and bacteria away
quite effectively. Many canker sufferers also apply ointment containing
soothing ingredients such as amlexanox to these mouth ulcers. Minor
sores treated at home with these methods usually clear up in
approximately one week.
Some cankers are large and severe enough
to need medical attention in order to prevent deeper bacterial
invasion. Most doctors prescribe a concentrated mouthwash containing
medicines such as dexamethasone that kill the bacteria and speed up the
healing process. Topical canker sore ointments containing tetracycline
also help to heal these sores effectively.
Getting rid of cold
sores is a different process since these ulcers are usually at the
corners of the lips, although they can also appear on the upper or lower
lip. The Type I herpes simplex virus is responsible for these kinds of
mouth sores, and this infection is relatively common. Cold sores should
normally heal without scarring as long as they are left alone. Doctors
often strongly advise against popping or picking at the cold sores; this
action can spread the viral infection to others and prolong the healing
process.
The first step for treating a cold sore is to find a
good quality topical cream with antiviral ingredients such as docosanol
will shorten the cold sore's duration and help relieve pain. This type
of medicine will also help prevent the virus from spreading to other
people. Many cold sore sufferers also take care of the sore's irritation
with pain relievers such as aspirin.
Answers for how to get rid
of mouth ulcers are relatively simple ones for either type of sore. An
important part of the process is to allow the body to naturally heal
itself. Ulcers that are treated promptly carry little risk of more
serious infections.
Historian Bettany Hughes introduces us to the underappreciated wealth of
Muslim Heritage that exists all around us in our everyday lives.
She
tells us how hospitals, pharmacies, sophisticated surgery, dentistry,
the understanding of blood circulation, vaccination and many other
medical developments came to us from Muslim civilisation.
Discoveries
made from the 7th to 17th centuries by multi-faith scientists in Muslim
civilisation have had a huge but hidden influence on the modern world.
Knowledge
from Assyrian, Babylonian, Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Indian, Persian
and Roman civilisations was highly prized in the Muslim world.
Men
and women scholars advanced science by building upon the ancients and
making breakthroughs that paved the way for the European Renaissance.
This
Golden Age of Discovery in the Muslim World (southern Europe, Africa,
Middle East, Asia and to China) took place during the so-called Dark
Ages of Europe.
Muslim civilisation promoted free-thinking,
rationalism and tolerance. Many scholars expressed their faith by
seeking to serve society and improve quality of life for others.

"Education promotes civilization and enables an individual to conquer challenges. I am reminded of Vladimir Lenin here when he came to power he said the first thing he would reform is education second is education and third is education. We are still at the grassroots its high time we realize that education is no more a want but a basic necessity in life apart from food, shelter and clothing. It is an answer to overcome eco imbalance of not only an individual, but of the family and ultimately the society Help extended to an individual in any other form only benefits that individual but when you impart education you are providing hope to the whole family which in turn benefits the society."
